Some patients are surprised by how effective the results of a forehead lift can be – many people that their overall appearance is greatly affected by a sagging forehead and an appearance of age. Following the surgery, patients can't believe how much younger and more rested they appear.
Some of the clients will experience permanent results from the forehead lift, or benefits can last for over 10 years. The procedure can take years off their face. Even with a few scars from the surgery (which are hidden by your hair, natural creases of the face and ears) will fade with time. Chances are you will be pleased with the results of the procedure and get many compliments on your changed appearance.

THE BEST CANDIDATES FOR A FOREHEAD LIFT: |
|
| |
No one is free from the aging process. The best candidates for this procedure are men and women of any age who wish to minimize the effects of aging. Typically, candidates for the forehead procedure are between 40 to 60 years of age, although some individuals with inherited conditions, such as low, heavy brow or furrowed lines around the nose may wish to have the procedure, regardless of their age.
Patients with baldness or a receding hairline are still good candidates for this procedure. A skilled surgeon will simply alter the position of the incision or disguise the incision as much as possible. Even if you’ve had previous plastic surgery on your eyelids, a conservative forehead lift may be need to assure that you have enough skin present to close your eyes comfortable after surgery.
You can see the effect of a surgery merely by standing in front of a mirror and placing your palms of your hands in the area above your eyebrows. Gently draw the skin around your outer eyes upward to raise the brow and forehead area. This is essentially the same area that would be affected by the forehead lift.

Overview of the Forehead Lift Procedure and Recovery Period: |
|
| |
The forehead lift procedure involves lifting the skin and portions of the muscle and removing excess tissue. If there is any excess skin at the point of incision it will be removed as well. The incision will be closed with stitches or clips. Following the surgery, you face and hair will be washed to prevent irritation.
Most patients recover from the surgery within a day or two, though they do need to take it easy for the first week following the surgery. Patients can shampoo their hair one or two days following surgery and can return to work or school within a week or 10 days.
Usually, any visible signs from surgery will be difficult to detect within two to three weeks of the surgery. Special camouflage makeup can be used to disguise minor swelling and bruising.
Most patients experience some tiredness following the surgery, but that quickly passes and you recover. You will begin to look and feel better soon.
